Community members with disabilities have been in lockdown long before corona started. We need a public transport system that is accessible for everyone.
I didn’t appreciate how much of a barrier our public transport system is until I worked in disability support. Working with people with disabilities made me realize that our community is simply not accessible for everyone.
But it could be.
I am calling on Melissa Horne MP to make a fully accessible public transport system a priority. No one should have to live their life in lockdown.
