SOLIDARITY PROTESTS – GET ON TRACK
Martin Leckey will attempt to board a tram at his local inaccessible tram stop at 12.30pm every day that parliament is sitting. His local stop is number 118 at the corner of Lygon and Pigdon in Carlton.
Martin has been campaigning for equal access to public services for decades. According to the Transport Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2002, our Melbourne tram system should be 100% accessible at the end of this year. Right now it is a little over 15%.
These are symbolic protests so they will be short and sweet, but we would love your support.
Please complete the form below if you are hoping to join us so that we can look out for you.
