our vision

A world where people with disabilities have ultimate inclusion.

Ultimate = the best achievable or imaginable of its kind; a final or fundamental fact or principle.

our mission

With our strength of experience living with disabilities, we work together to promote our rights and choices and challenge systems to achieve social and economic inclusion.

our guiding principles

We empower people with disabilities to contribute through participation both within DRC and in broader representative roles.

We challenge discrimination, poverty and disadvantage while promoting full realisation of the UNCRPD.

We promote choice and self-determination for all people with disabilities.

We embrace diversity, express tolerance and respect, and we value and support each other.

Disability Resources Centre (DRC) was founded in 1981.

Our aim is to ensure that all Victorians with disabilities enjoy the same rights and life opportunities as other members of society.

DRC is a member-driven organisation managed and staffed by people with disabilities.

We are funded by the State Government Office for Disability to provide individual advocacy for adults with disabilities.
