 In #LifelongLockdown

Before this week I hadn’t thought about how much I take for granted being able to run out of the house and jump on a tram or bus straight off the road, with no platform or other kind of accessibility aid.

While many of us are experiencing feeling trapped in lockdown for the first time, those with disabilities who aren’t able to access public transport know the feeling all too well.

Part of climate justice is accessibility to our public infrastructure for all. That’s why we’re calling on Melissa Horne MP, Jacinta Allan and Luke Donnellan MP to prioritise equal access to public transport. Taking it on as a mission would also create a wealth of jobs as we emerge from the pandemic.

Let’s work together to end #LifelongLockdown!
